Maddy Rosenberg's Fall Update Part 1

Hello Everybody,

The Fall is now well underway and I’d like you to know of a few things I’m involved in during the upcoming months:

TheArtistbook Library and the Library exhibition at Proteus Gowanus. This exhibit is also featured in the new issue of Umbrella magazine, http://www.umbrellaeditions.com/.

Proteus Gowanus was featured in the Village Voice – Best of 2006 Edition. It was listed first in the Arts and Entertainment section as the “Best Proof That The Gowanus Arts District May Not Be Entirely A Real Estate Fiction”. Check it out at http://www.villagevoice.com/bestof/2006/category/arts/244.

I will be teaching a pop up work shop at Proteus Gowanus on January 14th, 2007, from 3-5 pm. For details, please see the website at: www.proteusgowanus.com.

From October 27, 2006 – February 4, 2007, I have work in the exhibition The Book as Art: Twenty Years of Artists’ Books from the National Museum of Women in the Arts at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC. There is an accompanying catalogue with an essay by Johanna Drucker and published by Princeton Architectural Press. To see my work, visit it in person or see an overview of the exhibit on the web at http://www.nmwa.org/exhibition/detail.asp?exhibitid=150.

A wonderful literary review, Marginalia, due out this fall, will feature my painting on the cover and include an interview with me. Check http://www.western.edu/marginalia/ periodically for its debut.

To be continued....
